Encounter is the vision of our church community as a place of bringing people into Encounter with Jesus Christ and with one another. We believe that experiencing and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is one's primary encounter, but is followed by life in community and in subsequent encounters with the risen Christ. Our desire is to be a people who practice biblical worship - worship that is Christ-centred and forms a community of believers equipped by the Holy Spirit to move outward to a world that desperately needs to hear and see the good news of Christ embodied.

Gather
In each of our gatherings, we encourage people of all ages to take up prayer and praise as the lifestyle of those who love the Lord. We do this through live and vibrant worship and prayer meetings where we lift up our voices to the Lord for His empowerment as we seek to see His will done through us!
Grow
Our desire is to grow in the love, grace and truth of Jesus Christ by expressing and living out the gifting that He has placed in each one of us. The best way to honour one another and glorify God is to mature in our understanding of what it means to follow Jesus.
Go
A welcoming church is a going church. We at Encounter realize that church is not a place confined to walls, but people determined to go. They demonstrate caring and the love of Christ in their workplaces, in their neighbourhoods, in the places they shop, and in all the places they encounter people in their communities.
Give
We are audaciously free to give in love because that’s what God does for us. We are contributors not consumers. This means we are willing to give of ourselves and resources to see His Kingdom go forward here in our community and around the world with a cheerful and thankful heart.
